GeoMock — Privacy Policy

GeoMock is a Chrome extension for developers and QA engineers to mock browser geolocation during testing. This policy covers the extension and its license service at mock.tempx.uk.

Data the extension stores

Saved locations, settings, recent locations, and your Pro license token are stored locally in chrome.storage.local on your device. They never leave your device except as described below.

Network requests

• License activation (Pro): when you enter a license key, only the key itself is sent to mock.tempx.uk. The server returns a signed token; no further requests are needed and Pro works offline afterwards.
• Map picker (Pro): while a location editor with the map is open, map tiles and place searches are requested from Esri's ArcGIS services. Searches contain the place text you type; nothing else is sent.
• Override itself: the geolocation override uses Chrome's DevTools Protocol locally — no network.

What we never collect

No analytics, telemetry, or tracking. No browsing history. No real location data. No account, email, or personal identifiers — the license service stores only activation counts per key.

Cookies & third parties

This service sets no cookies. Payments (if you purchase a Pro key) are processed by the payment provider you bought it from; we never see or store payment details.
